Reinforced backfill walls are used in infrastructure or platform construction projects for the construction of retaining walls and stiffened embankments. They consist of gabion cladding and a technical backfill in which reinforcement layers are inserted between the layers of backfill. This is the solution used for the shell protection of the dikes of the New Coastal Road.
It can be used on land which is vulnerable to considerable geotechnical hazards when replacing a stone weight wall and whose stability cannot be justified.
This solution provides support for all types of land and uses: car parks, roads, building platforms, storage areas, etc.
